First Maternity Shirt!

I know this is sort of a lame thing to post. It's not very exciting but I wanted to remember it. There are a lot of firsts going on. It's funny how you think about the firsts in your life. You don't see anything important until there is something to link it to. I was thinking about that the other day as I was going to bed. Anyways. Enough with thinking. I have to do that enough with college and work.

Here is my first maternity shirt purchased at....Goodwill! It's one of the shirts with ruching on the side. Brand: Liz Lange (sold at target) Oh Goodwill how I love thee. I think every college student does. haha.

Purses Vs. Diaper Bag - The Great Debate

So, since I am overly excited about having this baby and buying everything that one has to have for a baby, I have been researching a lot. One of the things that I have been frantically searching Pinterest researching is the topic of diaper bags. During my research I have come to the conclusion that if I want to be a fashionable Mom with a fashionable diaper bag, it is good to have a lot of money/you can't get a good cute & fashionable diaper bag for under $50.

Since I am brilliant I was thinking man I bet I could use an adorable purse for a diaper bag if it had enough pockets. So, I began frantically searching Pinterest researching purses big enough to use as a diaper bag. Turns out I'm not the only brilliant one.

But I have a dilemma. Gabe will have to carry this "diaper bag" at one point.
Has anyone who is a Mom ever bought a purse and used it as a diaper bag? Did your husband complain? I really want to know your opinion. Also, does anyone have any other cute purses they have found that could be used as a diaper bag?

I thought I would document the growing bump certain weeks! The first pic we took at 5 weeks which is about how far along we think I am right now. We are so excited and are planning away! I have a small belly but it's not a baby belly. lol

We're Pregnant!

Well, we are preggo! We weren't planning on it since we are college students and all but we are happy all the same :) I am starting this blog in hopes that one day when we become forgetful we can remember all the joys during this time and share the stories and pictures with our children.
For our first post I wanted to get some questions answered that I know people will ask me.

1. How did you find out?
That is a funny story because I actually had no idea until I went to the doctor for other reasons. My smart doctor wanted to make sure she was giving me the right antibiotic so she asked me if there was a chance I was pregnant. I told her probably not but she wanted to check anyways and low and behold I was pregnant. Glad I went to the doctor!

2. How did you tell Gabe?
He was actually in the waiting room at the doctors office and when I came out with a smile on my face I'm pretty sure he instantly knew. While we were walking down the stairs he said "You're pregnant aren't you?" Haha he's too smart. :)

3. When is your due date?
I haven't had an appointment with my O.B. yet but all of the online calculators say September 23, 2012.

4. Do you hope it's a boy or a girl?
We hope it's a boy! But we will be excited either way.

5. Do you have names picked out?
Yes we do!
Boy: Tristan Courtney Afton
Girl: Guinevere Patience Afton
